Oahu Wedding Venues
Oahu wedding venues come in six kinds: ranch valleys on the windward side, gardens and estates on the North Shore, beachfront hotels in Waikiki, resorts out at Ko Olina and Turtle Bay, historic spaces in Honolulu, and a few standalone chapels. These are the fourteen we would shortlist, each checked against the venue’s own site, with its published price where there is one.

How we picked: we started from the venues couples search for by name, checked every one against its own website in September 2026, and kept only places that are open and booking weddings now. Prices below are the venue’s own published numbers; where a venue quotes each wedding individually, we say so rather than repeat a third-party estimate. We left off Lyon Arboretum, which no longer hosts private events.
Ranch and Valley Wedding Venues on Oahu
The windward and North Shore ranches look like the Oahu most couples have in mind: green cliffs, open pasture and no hotel towers in the photos. Kualoa is about 45 minutes from Waikiki; Dillingham is closer to an hour and a quarter.
Kualoa Ranch (Paliku Gardens)
Kualoa’s wedding site, Paliku Gardens, sits at the base of Kanehoalani peak with views of Mokoliʻi Island, Kaneohe Bay and the Koʻolau range. The Main Lawn and Bowl Lawn each seat up to 250, the covered pavilion 120, and a permanent 40 by 60 foot white tent with string lights is included, which is your rain plan built in. Published site fee: $6,495 plus tax on weekends, $5,495 plus tax on weekdays.
Dillingham Ranch
A 2,700-acre horse and cattle ranch in Mokuleia on the far North Shore, with a restored historic Lodge as its event venue. Expect pasture, big trees and the Waianae mountains behind you. The ranch does not publish capacity or prices; it quotes each event.
Garden and Estate Venues
Haiku Gardens
A Kaneohe garden with its own chapel and garden ceremony sites under the Koʻolau cliffs, next to Haleiwa Joe’s, which handles receptions. It is the rare venue that prices full packages: from $4,500 for its Sweet and Simple package to $16,000 for an exclusive lunch event, with a $4,500 minimum for Saturday and Sunday morning weddings.
Waimea Valley
A North Shore botanical valley with several ceremony meadows and lawns. Every event there needs a licensed event planner (the valley will suggest some), and Ke Nui Kitchen is the in-house caterer. Eloping? Waimea allows elopements and vow renewals for up to five people at $500 an hour. It pairs well with a guest day on the North Shore.
Loulu Palm
A North Shore estate near Kahuku with a private stretch of beach and gardens, rented as a retreat for the whole day. Its 2027 and 2028 rates for a 12-hour retreat run $3,950 (Monday to Thursday, up to 50 guests) to $8,750 (Friday to Sunday, 101 to 150), with a 10-hour package for up to 35 from $2,750. Equipment is extra.
Waikiki and Honolulu Hotel Wedding Venues
A Waikiki hotel wedding is the easy version: ceremony, reception and every guest’s room in one place, with a wedding team on staff. None of these four publishes a price; each quotes by date and guest count.
Halekulani
Ceremonies take place on the Kawehewehe Lawn, the Hau Terrace or the Garden Courtyard, all looking toward the ocean and Diamond Head, and the ballroom holds receptions of up to 300.
The Royal Hawaiian
The pink 1927 hotel on Waikiki Beach, with an ocean lawn, the Coconut Grove and the Monarch Room, an indoor-outdoor ballroom. Its Marriott-certified wedding planners run “Only at The Royal” packages.
Rental car

Moana Surfrider
Waikiki’s oldest hotel. The oceanfront Diamond Lawn and Terrace holds up to 400 for cocktails at sunset, and a rooftop garden on the historic Banyan Wing suits a smaller party.
The Kahala Hotel & Resort
Ten minutes past Diamond Head, away from the Waikiki crowds. Its Diamond Wedding Package bundles the Signature Suite with a wedding planner for the rehearsal and the wedding day.
Guests will want rooms near the reception. Our guide to the best hotels on Oahu covers the standouts.
Resorts Beyond Waikiki
Ko Olina and Turtle Bay trade the Waikiki scene for a self-contained resort. Our Ko Olina vs Waikiki comparison covers the trade-off for your guests.
Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina
On the dry west side, with its own freestanding wedding chapel as well as lawns and a ballroom. Its Ko Olina Package is built for 10 to 200 guests. Prices are by quote.
The Ritz-Carlton Oʻahu, Turtle Bay
Formerly Turtle Bay Resort, rebranded in 2024. Kuilima Point is a lawn with the Pacific on three sides, and the glass-walled Pavilion is the indoor-outdoor option for vows or a rain day. Marriott-certified planners run the day.
Historic and In-Town Honolulu Venues
Cafe Julia at the YWCA
A restaurant and event space inside the YWCA’s historic Laniakea building downtown, designed by architect Julia Morgan. Three spaces, indoor and courtyard, hold up to 180 guests.
Bishop Museum
Hawaii’s state museum rents its grounds for events. The Great Lawn covers three acres and seats up to 1,000; smaller lawns and the open-air Atherton Halau suit a smaller wedding. The events team quotes each date.
A Standalone Oahu Wedding Chapel
Kailana Chapel
An oceanfront chapel at Sea Life Park in Waimanalo, with a deck and garden looking at Makapuʻu. A ceremony after 4 p.m. is $3,500 for 150 minutes, and a full-day rental from noon to 10 p.m. is $7,500. Every event needs a designated coordinator or planner.

Planning an Oahu Wedding From the Mainland
- Beaches and parks need a permit. A ceremony on the shoreline goes through the state Department of Land and Natural Resources and its state’s online permit system. City beach parks such as Ala Moana and Magic Island need the City and County of Honolulu’s Park Use Permit, applied for about three weeks ahead. Both ask for proof of liability insurance.
- The marriage license is separate. It comes from the State of Hawaii, not the venue: apply online before the trip, then finish it in person with a state license agent before the ceremony.
- Book the big venues a year out. Loulu Palm was already publishing 2027 and 2028 rates in September 2026. Chapels and in-town venues tend to have shorter waits.
- Ask about the rain plan. Kualoa’s tent, Haiku Gardens’ chapel and the Ritz-Carlton’s glass Pavilion are built in. Most venues don’t publish one, so ask before you sign.
- Pick the side of the island for the weather. The west side around Ko Olina is the driest; the windward ranches are greenest because they get more rain. Winter brings big surf to the North Shore.

Oahu Wedding Venue Questions
What is the best wedding venue on Oahu?
It depends on the wedding. For mountains and open lawn, Kualoa Ranch’s Paliku Gardens is the best-known ranch venue. For a beachfront hotel with everything on site, the Halekulani and the Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki. For a smaller budget, Cafe Julia downtown or Kailana Chapel in Waimanalo.
How much does a wedding venue on Oahu cost?
Among venues that publish prices, a site starts around $3,500 (Kailana Chapel for a ceremony after 4 p.m.) and runs to $6,495 plus tax for a weekend at Kualoa Ranch. Haiku Gardens’ packages run $4,500 to $16,000. Waikiki hotels and resorts quote each wedding individually.
Can you get married on a beach on Oahu?
Yes, with a permit. Weddings on the shoreline go through the state Department of Land and Natural Resources, and city beach parks such as Ala Moana and Magic Island need a Park Use Permit from the City and County of Honolulu. Both ask for proof of liability insurance.
Do I need a marriage license to get married in Hawaii?
Yes. The license comes from the State of Hawaii, not from the venue. You apply online before the trip and finish it in person with a state marriage license agent before the ceremony.
How far ahead should we book an Oahu wedding venue?
A year or more for the popular estates and resorts. Loulu Palm was already publishing 2027 and 2028 rates in September 2026. Chapels and in-town venues often have shorter waits, so ask each venue for open dates.
