Oahu Travel Guide
About the Oahu Travel Guide
Local perspective & recommendations so you can travel Oahu like a local.
To provide travelers with a fun, safe, and responsible way to enjoy Oahu, and to help them travel like a local.
What is the Oahu Travel Guide
Oahu is the most visited island in Hawaii, and most of that traffic concentrates in a narrow strip between the airport and Diamond Head. The result is a version of the island that is convenient but incomplete. Most of what makes Oahu worth traveling to is found outside that corridor.
This guide exists to help visitors find it. The content covers all six regions of the island, across food, lodging, beaches, hikes, and logistics. Recommendations are updated regularly. Anything that has closed or changed is removed rather than left in place to mislead people.
The goal has always been simple: give travelers the same information a local would give a friend visiting for the first time.
What We Cover
Every corner of the island, not just Waikiki. Oahu has six distinct regions, and we cover all of them. Waikiki and Honolulu are treated separately here because they offer genuinely different experiences, and most visitors benefit from knowing the distinction before they arrive.
