The 30-second verdict

Mina’s is Ko Olina’s big seafood night: terraced decks that step down to tables in the sand, towers of shellfish and the lobster pot pie. It is expensive, with entrées from $52 to $128, so the 4 to 5 p.m. pau hana is the smart way in.

Known for

Michael Mina’s Lobster Pot Pie

Lobster and market vegetables in a truffle brandy lobster cream, under pastry: $128, and the first signature Four Seasons names. The other headliner is the Hawaiian seafood tower, cold or char-broiled with red miso butter.

What to Order

From the dinner menu dated August 25, 2026: the lobster pot pie ($128); the shellfish assortment of lobster, shrimp, oysters and king crab, cold ($150 petite, $270 tower for three or four) or char-broiled ($145 or $265); Michael’s ahi tuna tartare ($36) with Asian pear, pine nuts and habanero-sesame oil; miso glazed sea bass ($65) with bok choy and ginger dashi; and a side of Spam fried rice ($20). For dessert, warm cinnamon sugar malasadas ($17). The four-course Mina’s Fish House Experience is $140 a guest, served family style, and the whole table has to order it.

03

Decks, Bar and Beach Tables

The restaurant seats 213 inside and out. It steps down from a big bar and dining room through terraced decks to tables on the sand, with the Pacific in front. The bar stays open until 11 p.m., pouring tiki-style cocktails and local drafts. Ask about the seasonal Dinner with the Fish Sommelier, a tasting led by the restaurant’s fish sommelier. Could be better

It is dinner only, and the prices are steep for a fish house. The kitchen opens at 4 p.m. and closes at 9, entrées run $52 to $128, and a party of six or more pays an automatic 18% fee. The pau hana hour is the value play.

06

Consider Instead

  • Roy’s Ko Olina costs less for a Ko Olina dinner: its $59 Twilight Prix Fixe includes the misoyaki butterfish, and it serves lunch daily from 11:30 a.m., when Mina’s is closed.
  • ʻAMAʻAMA fits a table with vegan or gluten-free diners: its $140 four-course menu is almost completely gluten-free, with a plant-based version of every course, Wednesday to Sunday.
  • Monkeypod Kitchen is the casual option for families: open daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with wood-oven pizza, poke and a keiki menu from $9.
07

Tips Before You Book Mina’s

  • Arrive at 4 for pau hana. Cocktails from $14, half-off featured Champagne and $3 oysters until 5.
  • Book ahead. The resort recommends reservations, on OpenTable or at (808) 679-3347.
  • Ask for valet validation. Hand your ticket to your server before you pay.
  • Dress resort elegant. No swimwear or bare feet in the evening.
  • Size the tower right. The tower serves three or four; the petite serves one or two.
  • Tasting menu? Everyone joins. The $140 Experience needs the full table; the pot pie is an $85 supplement on it.
  • Drive over from Waikiki. See renting a car on Oahu.
